We bought a female pygmy goat on Friday and needed a shelter for her. The right side of the yard sloaps down and gets over-grown every spring/summer. We had been talking about getting one to keep it clean so, after looking around on Craigslist, we found one. Meet Ms. Molly...

I found an ideal goat shelter on pinterest that could keep her warm, dry and wouldn't cost a fortune. I changed a few of the design aspects to. I visited the builders discount store on Saturday morning and purchased some OSB sheets and some second quality 5/4 x 6" x 8' boards. I measured, marked and cut the OSB.

I then built the frame. I used 2" screws to hold it all together. I've learned my lesson from using a hammer!

I stopped taking pictures after getting wrapped in and frustrated. Here is the final product after my wife painted it. It was designed to allow her to climb on it as well (which she loves doing). After some discussion, we'll be adding some sort of door to lock her up at night to keep her safe. Right now she's hanging out in the small chicken run (chickens are in the large run). The reason for the skids is to move it around the yard to allow her to graze in other areas. As you can see, she has a lot of work to do.
